Do you have a bed bug problem? Do you want them gone? I’ll show you some of the best ways to kill bed bugs! There’s no “one” way to get rid of bed bugs. You should use a combination of bed bug treatment methods to to increase the effectiveness and speed of extermination.
The four main categories I’ll cover on how to eradicate bed bugs are:
- Steam & Vacuum – These two techniques are the best ways to get rid of bed bugs that you can see as steam is a contact killer and bed bugs will die once exposed to it and you can suck up and dispose of bed bugs with a vacuum.
- Sprays & Powders – These two techniques are great for killing bed bugs that you don’t visually see. Both the sprays and powders I recommend kill bed bugs over time when they are exposed to them.
- Heaters – Bed bugs love to hide anywhere they can squeeze into. Furniture, books, documents, pillows, EVERYWHERE! They’re experts in hiding so the only way to completely rid them is to kill them with heat. Bed bugs can grow immune to sprays but they will never be immune to heat. Make sure you do this in a safe and controlled manner.
- Hire a Professional – Bed bug exterminators have been doing this for a long time so they know what they’re doing. They can get pricey though but if you can afford it, go with a trained professional. Not all professionals are created equal and their service varies based on location so remember to do your research.
I talk about these four categories in more detail in the pages linked below.
